Corey Abney, Teaching/Preaching Pastor
Corey Abney is a Teaching/Preaching Pastor at Highview. He also coordinates the Adult Ministry efforts at each Highview campus.
Corey and his wife Christina have four children Caroline, Cameron, Catherine, and Corey, Jr.
The Cedarville University graduate holds a Masters Degree and is completing his Ph.D. from Southern Seminary.
Corey pastored Kings Baptist Church in Mt. Washington, Kentucky for four years. The church experienced record attendance, baptisms, and giving under his leadership. They also launched a third morning worship service, added staff and initiated several significant ministry opportunities during his time at the Bullitt County church. Before leading Kings Baptist, he pastored Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Waddy, Kentucky for over three years.
Corey is currently the President of the Kentucky Baptist Convention Pastor’s Conference and serves as a trustee of Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary near San Francisco, California.
