Brandon Shields, High School Pastor
Brandon Shields is the Minister to High School Students at the Fegenbush Campus since 2004. He also oversees the College Ministry at Fegenbush.
Brandon and his wife Emily have two sons: James and Cooper.
The University of Kentucky graduate attended high school at what is now Whitefield Academy---the prep school that is a ministry of Highview Baptist Church. Brandon has also earned two degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div and Ph.D).
“I love hanging out with my family, college basketball, and missions,” said Brandon. “I grew up in Louisville and have been affiliated with Highview since I was five years old.”
Brandon has enjoyed a relationship with Jesus Christ since his early teenaged years. “I committed my life to Jesus at the age of 13 and became a member of Highview Baptist in November of 1993. I took my first mission trip in 1999 to the Philippines, and it was there that I felt God calling me to ministry. I am grateful that Jesus saved me and continues to grow me and use me in ministry despite knowing everything about me.”
