Ruth McCoy, Director of Ministry to Women
Ruth McCoy is the Director of Ministry to Women. Her responsibilities include: coordination and oversight of women’s programs with the goal of encouraging and equipping women to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, discipling women to grow in their knowledge and love for God, equipping them to multiply themselves as they reach women in their sphere of influence and ministering to the personal needs of women by providing biblical counsel and direction.
Ruth and her husband Todd have three sons: Matthew, Michael, and Trevor.
The Boyce College graduate enjoys spending time with her family, watching their boys play soccer, basketball, swim, or whatever activity they are involved in. “My husband and I enjoy serving together and have had the opportunity to work with other couples in marriage enrichment studies,” said McCoy who holds a degree in Biblical studies. “We have grown closer to the Lord and each other through our participation in our Adult Bible fellowship class. Apart from the Lord, my husband and family are the focus of my life. Since I live in a house full of men, I enjoy spending time with women and sharing conversations about the evidences of God’s work in and through their lives. The Lord blesses me with opportunities to experience His love and power through the ministry to women.”
Ruth’s relationship with Jesus Christ began later in life. “I spent the early years of my life seeking purpose in the ways of the world. God’s protection and provision became evident to me as a young adult, realizing that nothing of this world would fill the void in my heart. The Lord used various circumstances to humble me and make me aware of His presence and power. Upon hearing the truths of Scripture and His unconditional love for me, I accepted Him as my Lord and Savoir in 1995. Since that time, I have grown and matured in my faith, developing an intense desire to know more of God through an intimate personal relationship. Bible study, prayer, and worship are a vital part of my life, and I am blessed to have the privilege of sharing that passion with other women.”
