The Canal Fulton, Ohio native played high school sports and still does a lot of running.
Tavis enrolled in Kent State University to pursue a career in pediatric medicine. But God’s calling on his life lead him to provide a different kind of care to kids---spiritual nourishment!
“At the age of six,” recalled Tavis, “I realized that I was a sinner and that Jesus Christ had died on the cross and risen for my sins. I talked to my mom about this, and she showed me how to become a Christian. At that very moment, my father was explaining to my brother how he could accept Christ into his life. It is amazing to think that although my brother and I were born 18 months apart, we have the same spiritual birthday.”
